According to a Consultation Paper circulated by the Planning Commission a
massive investment of US $ 500 Billion is required by the Central and State
Governments and the private sector in the ten major infrastructure sectors for
sustaining a growth rate of 9 per cent in GDP over the Eleventh Plan (22007-008
to 2011-112). These Sectors are Power, Roads, Telecommunications, Railways,
Irrigation, Water Supply & Sanitation, Ports, Airports and Storage. Hence there
are a lot of exciting opportunities available in his sector.
This Exposition aims to bring the leading players in these sectors together and
showcase their contribution in the field of Infrastructure development in India.
This show also plans to bring various planning & development authorities under
one roof so as to facilitate and evolve policies conductive to infrastructure
development.
