India has the second largest road network in the world

Estimates shows that the Indian Roads carry almost 67 per cent of freight and 85 percent of passenger traffic

The traffic on roads is growing at a rate of 7 to 10 per cent per annum

Railways 

The rail network traverses total length of 39234 miles

The country has the largest railway network in Asia and the 2nd largest in the world, transporting over 5 billion passengers and over 350 million tones of freight annually

The total length of the railway is 63140 kms 

Ports

India also has a number of inland waterways and seaports

There are 12 major ports and about 10 minor ports handling more than 95% of the trade in India

Aviation & Airports

There are more than 20 international airports in India and 11 are the main international airports located in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Calicut, Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore, Kolkata, Amritsar, Ahmedabad and Trivandrum

Estimates state that by 2020, Indian airports a re estimated to handle 100 million passengers, including 60 million domestic Passengers & Cargo in the range of 3.4 million tones per annum
